Our trade deficit with China – fueled by currency manipulation and other unfair trade practices – reached a record $273 billion in 2010. Currency manipulation acts as a subsidy for China’s exports to the U.S. and as a tax on our exports to China. The result has been millions of lost jobs, reduced wages, and larger budget deficits. The U.S. is losing its place as a world economic leader with each day that passes without action. Tell your senators and member of Congress to cosponsor the Currency Reform for Fair Trade Act, which would impose reasonable penalties to level the playing field when our trading partners manipulate their currency. This bill involves no spending, would create up to 2.25 million jobs, and would reduce the budget deficit by up to $71.4 billion each year. We need your help! Contact your elected officials.
