Same Ole Story ~ 99% Pay, While 1% Pay Less !

House Plan Attacks 99%, Benefits 1%

Click here for bill information > http://thehill.com/homenews/house/198389-House Republican Leaders unveiled a budget plan today in which “once again rushed to the rescue of the 1 % percent by insisting that millionaire$ should not have to pay one penny in taxes, according to AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka. Instead, the House Republican proposal would cut benefits for jobless workers, cut pay for public employees, cut preventive health services, reduce premium assistance for low- and middle-income individuals buying health insurance, and raise premiums for many Medicare beneficiaries. House Republicans obviously have more sympathy for millionaire$ than for the jobless. AFGE President John Gage also blasted the Republicans leaders” Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act, introduced by House Speaker John Boehner. This is just another attack on the 99% on behalf of their good friends—the 1%. Republicans are targeting a small segment of people who make $30,000 to $70,000 a year, rather than asking their millionaire and billionaire supporters to pay a little more.

It’s not right, and the American people should be outraged. Cong. Stephen Fincher(R)(upper right), District#8-Tennessee. You can contact your Congressman below.

At General Electric ~ Our Most Inportant Product~Moving To China & Paying No Tax`s

Mistakes are made, This is a BIG one ! Correct it Mr. President !

GENERAL ELECTRIC ~ MOVING to CHINA ~ You`Bet`Cha !

General Electric is planning to move its 115-year-old X-ray division from Waukesha, Wis., to Beijing. In addition to moving the headquarters, the company will invest $2 billion in China and train more than 65 engineers and create six research centers. This is the same GE that made $5.1 billion in the United States last year. But paid no taxes-the same company that employs more people overseas than it does in the United States. So let me get this straight. President Obama appointed GE Chairman Jeff Immelt(upper left) to head his commission on job creation (job czar). Immelt is supposed to help create jobs. I guess the President forgot to tell him in which country he was supposed to be creating those jobs. Please pass this information to others and think about it before you buy a GE product. This has been verified on Snope`s . Click here or on title to varify for yourself ! http://www.snopes.com/politics/politics.asp#politics

Editorial : Thanks to my Alabama friend, Linda Brown for this one ! This CEO Jeff Immelt, should be removed by President Obama from, this Czar Job, Immediately ! Mr. President, You made a Big Mistake.

The Party of the RepublicanICH...Sticking it to Middle Class...

Sign here > http://www.dccc.org/pages/chicken

Republicans plan to skip town tonight(12/08/11/ without voting for the payroll tax cut extension. Failure to extend the payroll tax cut would mean a $1,000 tax hike for the average American family. Economists say it could also cost between 400,000 and 1 million American jobs. And get this: according to Politico, in a closed-door meeting Speaker Boehner told the Republican House caucus that extending the payroll tax cut and helping Americans pay their bills is “chicken shi--.” That’s the kind of reckless attitude that got our economy in trouble in the first place. Now, let’s put the pressure on Republicans to stop this. Help us reach our new goal of 100,000 people telling Speaker Boehner, Eric Cantor and the rest of the Tea Party Republicans in Congress that extending the payroll tax cut is critical to the American people. It's definitely not "chicken sh--“ >>
We only have until midnight to send this message to Republicans. Make sure you sign immediately.

From CNN : Senate Republicans have blocked a Democratic measure to extend the payroll tax cut and assess a new tax on income over $1 million to help pay for it.
Sixty votes were needed for passage. The vote was 50-48.
A separate Republican bill to extend the payroll tax cut calls for freezing federal pay as well as reducing the federal workforce by 10%, provisions rejected by Obama and Democrats.
The lower payroll tax rate is set to expire at the end of the year.

Social Security ~ Entitlements My A** !

Social Security ~ Just The Facts !
Underdog = Don Jones...12/08/11

Who gets your Social Security if you are dead ? CONGRESS Gets to Spend it, even before you die !

KEEP PASSING THIS AROUND UNTIL EVERY ONE HAS READ IT..... SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT THE ONLY THING WRONG WITH THIS CALCULATION IS THEY FORGOT TO FIGURE IN THE PEOPLE WHO DIED BEFORE THEY COLLECTED THEIR SOCIAL SECURITY ! WHERE DID THAT MONEY GO ? I know of several over the years !

This was sent to me, I am forwarding it because I have written/blogged about this many times. This is another example of what Rick Perry called"TREASON in high places" ! Get angry and pass this on !(this doesn't mean I support Perry)Remember, not only did you contribute to Social Security but your employer did too. It totaled 15% of your income before taxes. If you averaged only $30K over your working life, that's close to $220,500. If you calculate the future value of $4,500 per year (yours & your employer's contribution) at a simple 5% (less than what the govt. pays on the money that it borrows), after 49 years of working you'd have $892,919.98. If you took out only 3% per year, you'd receive $26,787.60 per year and it would last better than 30 years (until you're 95 if you retire at age 65) and that's with no interest paid on that final amount on deposit ! If you bought an annuity and it paid 4% per year, you'd have a lifetime income of $2,976.40 per month. The folks in Washington have pulled off a bigger Ponzi scheme than Bernie Madhoff ever had . Entitlement my a**, I paid cash for my social security insurance ! Just because they borrowed the money, doesn't make my benefits some kind of charity or handout ! Congressional benefits --free healthcare, outrageous retirement packages, 67 paid holidays, three weeks paid vacation, unlimited paid sick days, now that's welfare, and they have the nerve to call my social security retirement entitlements? We're "broke" and can't help our own Seniors, Veterans, Orphans, HomelessIn the last months we have provided aid to Haiti, Chile , and Turkey . And now Pakistan ...home of bin Laden. Literally, BILLIONS of DOLLARS ! Our retired seniors(Hey That`s Me !) living on a 'fixed income' receive no aid nor do they get any breaks while our government and religious organizations pour Hundreds of Billions of $$'s and Tons of Food to Foreign Countries ! They call Social Security and Medicare an entitlement even though most of us have been paying for it all our working lives and now when it's time for us to collect, the government is running out of money. Why did the government borrow from it in the first place? Imagine if the *GOVERNMENT* gave 'US' the same support they give to other countries. Sad isn't it ? 99% of people won't have the guts to forward this. I'm one of the 1% -- I Just Did. Play on words...(upper left President Franklin D.Roosevelt) Thank You, Mr. President !

Thanks to J. Mike Stanley, for this one ! Sad, but true !

Conference Explore$ CEO Pay and Wall $treet Reform Law

Click here for Executive pay watch > http://www.aflcio.org/corporatewatch/paywatch/

Last year’s Wall Street reform law, the Dodd-Frank Act, established significant changes in federal oversight of executive pay. On Monday, Dec. 12, at the AFL-CIO in Washington, D.C., Americans for Financial Reform will host a conference on the new executive pay rules. Those new provisions include a prohibition on excessive bank bonuses that encourage risk-taking by financial institutions. Other reforms include requiring companies to disclose a CEO-to-worker pay ratio and giving shareholders a greater say on top executive pay.The conference, which runs from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. EST, will include two panel discussions, the first exploring the new “say on pay” and CEO-to-worker pay ratio and the second on executive compensation and risk at financial institutions. Both panels will include corporate accountability, legal and academic experts. Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), the ranking member of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, will be the keynote speaker. For more information and to RSVP—space is limited—click here. Tax the Rich ~ Create Jobs ~ You Bet`Cha !

Taxing the Rich Does Create Job$, Says Venture Capitali$t
by Mike Hall, Dec 5, 2011

Nick Hanauer(upper left) is another multimillionaire who says its time to tax the rich. The venture capitalist, who has launched more than 20 companies and is an original investor in Amazon.com, says Republicans are completely wrong when they claim that raising taxes on the rich—the so-called job creators—would kill job growth because “Rich people like me don’t create jobs, middle-class consumers do.”
So let’s give a break to the true job creators. Let’s tax the rich like we once did and use that money to spur growth by putting purchasing power back in the hands of the middle class. And let’s remember that capitalists without customers are out of business. Hanauer also points out that the 99 percent
have not gotten a fair shake.
If the average American family still got the same share of income they earned in 1980, they would have an astounding $13,000 more in their pockets a year. It’s worth pausing to consider what our economy would be like today if middle-class consumers had that additional income to spend.

99% Protesting for a Portion of the Pie ! You Bet`Cha ~

99% Protesting Politicians & Demanding a Portion of Pie !
Across the country, people are protesting an economy that doesn't work.

The very wealthiest people and big corporations are seeing a recovery, but today's unemployment reports show the economy isn't working for the other 99% of us.
Here are the facts. Unemployment is at 8.6 percent, with millions more underemployed or discouraged from entering the labor force. There are more than four job seekers for every opening. And more than 40 percent of the unemployed have been out of work for six months or more. With this many people unable to get good jobs, the economy suffers. Without money in their pockets, families have a harder time making ends meet and keeping a roof over their heads, and they can't support businesses, either. Unemployment insurance is a lifeline not just for those without jobs, but for their communities and the economy.
Support the unemployed—sign on to the 9 Demands of the 99%.
The continued weakness in the job market makes extending unemployment insurance essential—but at the end of the year, extended unemployment benefits will expire for the long-term unemployed, taking millions of dollars out of the hands of those who rely on it. That's why extending unemployment benefits is one of the 9 Demands of the 99%. Support the unemployed—sign on to the 9 Demands of the 99%. We need to tell Congress it's time to get their priorities straight. Millions of unemployed people—and the families and businesses that count on them—need our support. Extending unemployment insurance is a necessary step to an economy that works for everyone, not just the 1%.

P.S. After you've signed the 9 Demands petition, send a letter to Congress urging it to pass unemployment insurance.

Employee`s Will Be Allowed Free, Unintimadated Elections !

Labor Board Approves Union Election Rule in 2-1 Vote

By Kevin Bogardus

The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) voted Wednesday to move forward with portions of a controversial union election rule after the board’s lone Republican member showed up to register his opposition.

The two Democratic members of the labor board, Chairman Mark Pearce and Craig Becker, voted to advance the proposal, while Brian Hayes, a Republican, voted no. The wild card of Wednesday’s vote was Hayes, who has threatened to resign over the union election rule. Speculation swirled this week that Hayes might torpedo Wednesday’s action by making good on his threat to quit, or by simply refusing to participate. The labor board is now expected to finalize the rule. The NLRB proposal has attracted widespread attention in Washington and in the business world. Labor unions say it would help reduce delays in union elections, but business groups argue it gives employers little time

Equal Justice Under the Law ?

Supreme Court ~ Appointed for Life ! Bad/Good Idea ?

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has significant conflicts of interest that make it impossible for him to render a fair, impartial decision in the health care case being reviewed by the Court. Political groups determined to repeal or overturn the Affordable Care Act have been filling Thomas's family bank account for years. His wife Virginia has been a crusader in the campaign to defeat the law. She has raised money and taken money from organized efforts to kill health reform. It's time for Clarence Thomas to recuse himself - join our letter to Associate Justice Thomas TODAY. Justice Thomas personally has aligned himself with political activists and organizations dedicated to thwarting the new health care law. He spoke at a secret conclave run by the billionaire Koch Brothers to raise funds for organizations like Americans for Prosperity. Seventy-four members of the House of Representatives have even taken the highly unusual step of requesting that Justice Thomas remove himself from participation in deliberations on the Affordable Care Act. If Justice Thomas fails to recuse himself, it will threaten the integrity of the entire Supreme Court. It's time to send Clarence Thomas a message: recuse yourself.

End the Bush Tax Cuts for Milionaires& Billionaires~ Now !

End the Bush Tax Cuts for Millionaires ! Now !

Clicking here will automatically add your name to this petition to your member of Congress and senators:

"We need to end the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy. When we're brutally cutting the social safety net, it's outrageous that we are giving tax breaks to the richest Americans."

Automatically add your name:

Tell Congress: End the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans.

It's outrageous. The average tax break from the Bush tax cuts enjoyed by the top 1 percent of wage earners is larger than the average income of the rest of the 99 percent of Americans.
And after a decade of giving money to those who literally didn't need it, the deficit caused in large part by the Bush tax cuts is being used as an excuse to take away the social safety net that protects the most vulnerable members of society.
Tell your member of Congress and your senators: End the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy. Click here to automatically sign the petition.

Ending these cuts should be a no brainer. They had been set to expire at the end of 2010, but President Obama ended up cutting a deal with the Republican leadership to extend the cuts for another two years. But we know that the cuts won't be allowed to expire without a big fight. Republican intransigence on the Bush tax cuts was at the heart of the failure of the Super Committee. Not only did the Republicans on the Super Committee want the Bush tax cuts to be made permanent, they took the morally bankrupt position that we should blow a bigger hole in the budget by giving even larger tax cuts to the rich. Simply extending the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy would cost us more than $700 billion over the next decade. There is very little that so clearly demonstrates the callous venality of some members of Congress than the simultaneous demand to give the Koch brothers a tax cut while pushing benefit cuts to programs like Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.
Tell your member of Congress and your senators: End the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy. Click here to automatically sign the petition.
Democrats caved in 2010, and Republicans expect them to cave again. Between now and the end of 2012, we can expect a relentless push to make the Bush tax cuts permanent. But this is a fight we can win if we are relentless, too. In this case gridlock and inaction work to our benefit because we don't have to pass a bill — we just need to ensure that Congress doesn't pass a bill that extends the Bush tax cuts past 2012. The first step is speaking out and laying down a marker so that your member of Congress and senators know their constituents want the Bush tax cuts to end.
Tell your member of Congress and your senators: End the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy. Click here to automatically sign the petition.

Thank you for speaking out to end the Bush tax cuts.

Censorship of Internet..Bad Idea !

Greetings from Underdog ;

All This week Congress is debating whether to grant themselves the power to turn off parts of the Internet. Fun sites like YouTube. Informative sites like Wikipedia. Political sites like Move On.org. If enacted, new laws would force Internet Service Providers to block websites that any corporation suspects violates a copyright or suspects, doesn't monitor it's users' content close enough for copyrighted materials. That means that any website, foreign or based in the U.S.,could be wiped out on suspicion and made unavailable to everyone in the world. This week there will be a historic filibuster of the Internet Censorship Act where the names of every person that signs a petition against Internet censorship will be read. I added my name. Please add yours too.

TITAN TIRE ~ UNION CITY TN.

TITAN TIRE PURCHASES THE PHYSICAL ASSETS OF GOODYEAR’S UNION CITY TN PLANT
QUINCY, Ill.—

www.titan-intl.com

Titan Tire Corporation of Union City, a subsidiary of Titan International, Inc. (NYSE: TWI), has purchased the physical assets of Goodyear’s Union City closed tire plant.

Titan notified Goodyear of its interest in certain equipment after discovering that Goodyear was selling the assets. Following are the general terms of the agreement: Titan purchased approximately 480 acres of land.
Titan purchased the building consisting of approximately 2.1 million square feet.
Titan agrees it will not produce radial passenger or SUV tires at the factory.
Titan agrees to scrap all curing presses and tire building equipment that Goodyear requests to be scrapped. Titan will retain the scrap value.
Goodyear will have until June 2012 to remove the equipment they wish to retain.
Goodyear employees and its contractors will have access to the facility to remove retained equipment. Titan has immediate access to the factory to allow inspection of the condition of all banbury equipment and steel and fabric calendar lines. Titan will evaluate what needs to be done with the equipment.
Titan has not yet decided how it plans to utilize the Tennessee location except to warehouse farm and OTR tires and to have a single equipment rebuilding operation for the machines. The decision on whether Titan will keep the equipment in Union City or move the equipment to other Titan tire factory locations will not be made until mid 2012. The mixing capacity with the equipment Titan purchased could allow an additional $1 billion in future sales and increase Titan’s output of farm and OTR tires going forward when, as stated, a decision is made.
This transaction happened fast so we have a lot of work to do to see what gives Titan the largest savings,” stated Maurice Taylor, Chairman and CEO of Titan International.(upper left) “Titan paid Goodyear approximately $9 million for this acquisition, but we do not know yet how much we will get back from all the scrap machinery. I appreciate there have been a lot of comments on this acquisition but until we have decided exactly what we plan to do this is really all we can say.” Titan International, Inc., a holding company, owns subsidiaries that supply wheels, tires and assemblies for off-highway equipment used in agricultural, earthmoving/construction and consumer (including all terrain vehicles) applications. For more information, visit http://www.titan-intl.com/

Editorial : Let`s see, Titan purchases Goodyear Plant Union City for $9 million dollars. The deal transpired so fast, Mr. Taylor, does`nt know, what exactly he is going to do with it ? Could be. I think, they(TITAN) know exactly what they are going to do with it !

BUY AMERICAN for CHRISTMAS !

One Union Worker from Omaha Says: We NeedMade in America’
by Robert Struckman,
Nov 28, 2011

Bill Redler of Omaha, Neb., knows both the hard times of the American construction worker today and the right way forward.

The union plumber, whose first child is on the way, tries not to spend a penny on anything, unless it’s made in America.

“I’ve gotten militant about it, and it turns out that it’s not that hard. We’ve got to quit buying from China. We’ve got to start taxing companies if they want to send jobs to China and then sell products here. That’s the bottom line. We need to be building everything here….Made in America,” he said. Redler may be a plumber (and a major fan of the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers) who has worked on just about anything that involves pipes, but he knows that without manufacturing jobs, America’s economy has no solid base.“There’s no work in this town right now,” he said. “It’s been like that for about three years. I’d work for a while, get laid off for about a month. It was hit and miss…here and there….Right now, there are 115 guys sitting.” Redler’s most recent layoff was more than a month ago. He’ll soon travel to Washington to fight for jobs and an extension of unemployment benefits for the long-term jobless. A record number of workers have been unable to find jobs for 99 weeks or more…more than 6 million. He hopes he won’t find himself in that situation, but he knows it could happen. And he knows it’s time for action.“We know how to organize and demand what’s right, and that’s what we’re going to do,” Redler said.

Lobbyist Gutting Safety ? You Bet`Cha !

Big Corporations...Running Wild !

Contact your Congressman here > http://www.citizen.org/commonsense-regulations

Massive corporations hate being held accountable when their recklessness and greed hurt our economy, our environment and people in our communities — and they’re spending millions on lobbyists and campaign contributions to put their priorities on top.So instead of policies that would actually help put Americans back to work, Congress this week is focusing on what the corporate lobbyists want: deregulation. The House of Representatives is set to vote later this week on bills that would sabotage the regulatory system and further rig the economy in favor of the top 1 percent. Don’t let it happen.Tell your representative: VOTE NO on deregulation. Here’s what you need to know about the THREE deregulatory bills coming to a vote this week: The REINS Act (H.R. 10) would block all new safeguards put in place by regulatory agencies from going into effect unless Congress affirmatively adopts them. Given the gridlock in Congress, this means the regulatory system would grind to a halt. Essentially, the REINS Act would undermine the whole point of having agencies like the Environmental Protection Agency and the Occupational Health and Safety Administration — agencies that exist precisely because Congress cannot and will not write all the rules necessary to protect the public from business practices that endanger our health, environment and economy. The Regulatory Accountability Act (H.R. 3010) and the Regulatory Flexibility Improvements Act (H.R. 527) would take a different approach, adding hurdles that would make it virtually impossible for agencies to write new rules. Passage of any of these bills would have devastating results: virtually no new standards to ensure a clean environment, a fair and stable economy, or safe food, consumer products and workplaces. This is the way Corporate America wants Washington to work. Instead of protecting people and our environment, priority is being given to those who profit by exploiting and polluting our communities. The public’s power to prevent wrongdoing and hold reckless businesses accountable should be strengthened, not weakened.Urge Congress to support safeguards that protect our financial security, our health and our environment. Then follow up your message with a call:Dial 1-888-291-9824 This toll-free number will connect you with the U.S. Capitol switchboard. When the operator answers, ask to be connected with your representative’s office. All you have to do is tell the staffer who answers the phone that you want your representative to VOTE NO on H.R. 10, H.R. 3010 and H.R. 527.

Americas Wealth Being Siphoned to Rich ! You Bet~Cha

Shoveling America's Wealth to the Top
Tuesday, November 8, 2011 Posted by Jim Hightower

Listen to this Commentary

As an old country saying puts it, "Money is like manure – it does no good unless you spread it around."

Yet, America's corporate and political leaders have intentionally been shoveling wealth into an ever-bigger pile for those at the top. They've gotten away with this by lying to the great majority, which has seen its share of America's prosperity steadily disappear. Yes, they've told us, the rich are getting richer, but that's just the natural workings of the new global economy, in which financial elites are rewarded for their exceptional talents, innovation, and bold risk-taking.
Horse dooties. The massive redistribution of America's wealth from the many to the few is happening because the rich and their political puppets have rigged the system. Years of subsidized offshoring and downsizing, gutting labor rights, monkeywrenching the tax code, legalizing financial finagling, dismantling social programs, increasing the political dominance of corporate cash – these and other self-serving acts of the moneyed powers have created the conveyor belt that's moving our wealth from the grassroots to the penthouses. Not since the Gilded Age, which preceded and precipitated the Great Depression, have so few amassed so much of our nation's riches. Having learned nothing from 1929's devastating crash, nor from their own bank failures in 2008 that crushed our economy, the wealthiest of the wealthy fully intend to keep taking more for themselves at our expense. Now, however, the people are onto their lies.
In an October poll, two-thirds of Americans support increased taxes on millionaires, an end to corporate tax subsidies, and policies to more evenly distribute the wealth we all help create. This is rising egalitarianism shows the true American character, and it's changing our politics – for the better.
