ROY HERRON WORKING ON WEST TENNESSEE FLOODING

DRESDEN - State Senator Roy Herron has been working with Governor Bill Haslam and his commissioners, U.S. Senator Bob Corker, and local government officials to make sure that all state and federal resources are deployed immediately to prevent flooding wherever possible and to help all flood victims.
“I will continue to work with Governor Haslam and his administration, as well as our federal and local officials to do everything we can to assist all those in need,” Herron said. Experts currently are projecting that these floods could be the worst since those of 1937.

If citizens need additional help, they should feel free to call Senator Herron toll-free at 1-800-449-8366, extension 14576.

TAX-Payers Subsidizing Big OIL. Why ?

Tax-Payer$ Sub$idizing Big Oil. WHY ? $

http://act.credoaction.com/campaign/end_oil_subsidies/index2.html

As Americans continue to struggle with outrageous, unstable gas prices, big oil companies continue to benefit from them.

Exxon Mobil announced Thursday a first-quarter profit of $10.6 billion a 69% increase from last year, and a number so astronomical, Exxon executives felt the need to issue defensive statements in advance. Also unveiling massive earnings were Shell ($6.3 billion, up 30%), ConocoPhillips ($3 billion, up 44%), Chevron ($6.2 billion, up 36%) and of course, BP ($7.1 Billion, up 16%). In all, these five oil companies have reaped nearly $1 trillion in profits in the last 10 years.

But more outrageous than jaw-dropping oil company profits, is the fact that our government/tax-payers actually rewards these companies with even more of our money for maintaining this disastrous system — to the tune of $4 billion a year in tax credits and subsidies. It's time for that to end.

Tell Congress: End oil subsidies. Click here http://act.credoaction.com/campaign/end_oil_subsidies/index2.html ; to automatically sign the petition. It is a testament to the influence of polluters, and the power of the money they shower upon congress, that so many of our leaders have continued to defend these senseless subsidies.

As recently as this March, House Republicans — while simultaneously pleading poverty and fighting for crippling budget cuts elsewhere — voted unanimously against repealing these oil subsidies, at a total cost to us of $45 billion over 10 years. But in the face of these huge budget cuts, painful gas prices and shocking oil company profits, it is becoming harder and harder for Republicans to defend this policy.

In a surprising move, Speaker John Boehner said Monday that repealing oil subsidies "is certainly something we ought to be looking at" and that oil companies "ought to be paying their fair share." While his statement was quickly walked back the next day by an aide who said Boehner was simply trying not to "fall into the trap of defending 'Big Oil' companies" it's clear that cracks are beginning to show in the Republicans' brazen defense of senseless oil handouts.

On Tuesday, President Obama sent a letter to congressional leaders asking them to end oil subsidies, and Nancy Pelosi also sent a letter to Speaker Boehner asking him to schedule a House vote next week. Harry Reid announced he will hold a vote in the Senate as soon as possible. Momentum is building. This is a key moment to keep the pressure on, and force every member of congress to choose:
Americans, or the oil companies ? Tell Congress: End oil subsidies. Click here http://act.credoaction.com/campaign/end_oil_subsidies/index2.html ; to automatically sign the petition.
Between the ruining of our gulf, the increasing frequency of extreme weather events brought on by climate change, and now — once again — astronomical oil company profits and oil prices that literally threaten our economy, we don't need any more reminders that it's time to end our reliance on oil. Yet we're handing oil companies billions as we slash funding for the investments in clean energy and transit we need to break oil's grip on our lives. This must end. And if we raise our voices, we can finally end it. Click here to autmatically sign our petition. http://act.credoaction.com/campaign/end_oil_subsidies/index2.html

Goodyear Has 1Q Sales Record.

Goodyear posts sales record, 1Q earnings of $103M
By THOMAS J. SHEERAN , 04.29.11

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.'s focus on high-end products helped it set a company sales record for any quarter and reverse a loss from the first quarter of 2010.
Goodyear reported Friday that it earned $103 million, or 42 cents per share, on revenue of $5.4 billion. That easily beat Wall Street estimates of 12 cents and $4.89 billion. In the first quarter of 2010, Akron-based Goodyear lost $47 million, or 19 cents a share, on revenue of $4.3 billion. Goodyear sold almost 7 percent more tires in the January-March period over the first quarter of 2010 and its per-tire revenue was up 15 percent, reflecting a goal of developing high-performance products. First-quarter revenue was aided by chemical sales in North America and currency exchanges.

Friday 4/29/11 > Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. rose 12.8 percent to $18.28

Stop the Robin Hood Economics > Now !

Robin Hood = Take From the Middle Class and Give to the Rich !
Underdog =By : Don Jones...4/28/11

On April 15, House Republicans passed an all-out assault on vital programs, including Medicare, to pay for massive giveaways to Millionaire$ and Billionaire$ in the form of tax cuts. The bill does almost nothing to balance the budget, and was passed without even a single Democratic vote. A budget that’s only passed the U.S. House of Representatives isn’t law. But the big danger is that the Senate will try to cut a deal that meets House Republicans halfway and worsens the imbalance in our economy. We can’t let that happen. I just joined the AFL-CIO and demanded that President Obama and my senators totally reject this complete budget fraud and pass a fair budget that funds the America we believe in.

Please join me. Take action at:

Hey Seniors Oops, that`s Me ! Better Watch Rep. Fincher~District#8~Tennessee

Congressman Stephen Fincher(R) ~ District#8-Tennessee

Votes Against Seniors !

http://act.credoaction.com/campaign/medicare/

Tell Rep. Fincher : Hands off Medicare, Hold him accountable for his extremist vote to end Medicare as we know it.
Click here ;
http://act.credoaction.com/campaign/medicare/index2.html < will add your name to this petition to Rep. Fincher:

"As a constituent, I am appalled that you voted for Rep. Paul Ryan's(R) irresponsible and extreme budget plan to end Medicare as we know it."

Rep. Paul Ryan's 2012 budget proposal was one of the most brutal attacks on the social safety net in decades.
And your member of Congress, Stephen Fincher, joined in by voting for it.

Paul Krugman called Rep. Ryan's budget bill both "ludicrous" and "cruel." "Ludicrous" because the budget projections were pure fantasy, "cruel" because it proposed massive spending cuts for programs that mainly help children, the poor and the elderly, while slashing taxes for corporations and the ultra-rich.

One of the main programs targeted by the Ryan budget was Medicare, which under the proposal would be destroyed in all but name, and replaced by a voucher program for seniors who'd be dumped into the private insurance market. And if the vouchers didn't cover the cost of insurance, too bad.

Tell Rep. Fincher: Hands off Medicare. Click here; http://act.credoaction.com/campaign/medicare/ to automatically sign the petition. There is no doubt that something needs to be done to control the increasing cost of Medicare. But the Ryan proposal does nothing to actually control costs. All the Ryan plan does is shift the cost of health care onto the backs of seniors. And, in fact, by forcing seniors into the inefficient private insurance market, it would actually drive up the cost of providing health care to them. During the last week, a number of Republicans who voted for this plan have been confronted by their constituents for supporting an end to Medicare while refusing to raise taxes on the rich.

With both the 2012 budget and the debt ceiling fights looming, this type of pushback is really important. Rep. Fincher needs to hear that he crossed a line.
And Rep. Fincher needs to know that he will be held accountable by his constituents for supporting such extreme and irresponsible proposals.

Tell Rep. Fincher
: Hands off Medicare. Click here ; http://act.credoaction.com/campaign/medicare/ ; to automatically sign the petition.
Thank you for working for standing up for Medicare. Rep. Fincher needs to hear from you. I have already sent him, my displeasure in his vote. I know, lets cut his salary and benefits, that we pay for !

The Have`s & The Have Not`s !

WORKERS DOWN, BOSSES UP: A MORALITY PLAY
Thursday, April 21, 2011 Posted by Jim Hightower

It's good to know that some corporate chieftains feel the pain of their underlings, who keep being forced to do more for less reward. Take the example of Gannett, the media giant that owns 23 television stations and 82 newspapers, including USA Today. Early this year, Gannett employees were notified that, for the third year in a row, they would get no raises and would have to take a week off without pay. The note was written with a gentle hand, however, acknowledging the hardship that such sacrifices cause for workers and thanking them for their "great work." To soothe the pain a bit, the note added that Gannett's two top executives would take a commensurate cut in their salaries. Okay, team spirit !
But don't grab the pom poms and break out in cheers. Only two months later, bonuses totaling $3 million were very quietly bestowed on the top two. And to add a bright cherry to this sweet delight, the duo of honchos also were awarded stock options and deferred pay totaling as much as $17 million. So, some 32,000 workers were forced into furloughs to save about $17 million for Gannett, but the corporation's number one and number two were then allowed to slurp up all of that savings and then some. Who says there's no "I" in team? It's not like the executives are doing a terrific job. With them at the helm, Gannett's newspaper readership, revenues, and stock price have fallen substantially, and the corporate chieftains are widely viewed as lacking imagination. But they are credited with "aggressive cost management." What's that? It's a cynical corporate euphemism for throwing employees in the ditch. Once again, working people are being sacrificed because of management's failure, middle-class opportunities are shrunk, and top executives collect multimillion-dollar bonuses. Where's the morality in that?

Saving Union City Goodyear ~ What Dreams are Made Of

Goodyear Union City Tennessee, Now History ?
by : Underdog = Don Jones

4/26/11

Barring a miracle Goodyear Union City Tennessee Plant is gone. I have been blogging this plant for a very longtime now. Why ? I worked there for almost twenty-five years. I made a good living for my family, I was always proud to say that I worked there. I never dreaded going in or working there. I was very active in our Union, The United Rubber Workers, I never thought of myself as anything, but an average man trying to provide for his family. In fact, I still think of it that way. Some thought that we were militant. I did not. I hear today, that we no longer need free democratic labor unions, don`t you believe that for a single second. Even some of our state governments say that we no longer need collective bargaining or negotiations. My definition of Union - Management Negotiations = "Come Sit Down, Let Us Reason Together"! Perhaps, our forefathers in the Union Movement, gave it to us so easily, that we did`nt appreciate it ? I have always believed that a voice in our workplace was a good thing ! I still do. I`ve heard that the Union is the reason we`re losing our plant. Wrong ! Greed and foreign cheap labor/trade and those three go hand in hand, are the reason. I keep hearing we are in a global environment/competition, I suppose we are. The problem is that large corporations like Goodyear can build their plants in foreign country`s and then hire cheap labor to make their products, then ship them back to the United States for sale. The price never comes down. What`s wrong with that picture ? Our CEO-Chairman of the Board and President of Goodyear, Richard J. Kramer makes almost eleven million dollars a year. Whats wrong with that picture ? He says, he is maximizing the stock holders money. As usual, like most CEO`S, he is only looking at this quarter and getting hi$ ! I`ve written letters to our corporate executives and received no acknowledgement. I wrote to our Union Leaders in Pittsburgh, and received answers from Int`l Vice-President Tom Conway, who is in charge of Goodyear Negotiations. He has assured me, that our tires in Union City will not be built in China ? He did`nt say that Chili would not build them.

The following is a letter received by me, from Tom Conway, Int`l VP-and Chief Negotiator-Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. I`d say that, Tom Conway has guts.

____________________________________________________________

Letter from Tom Conway, Int`l Vice-President and Chief Negotiator Goodyear

Don…I’m Heartbroken over Union City…

It’s so discouraging to me personally as I had hoped and fought so much that the tariff would give us time to keep this particular plant alive, where we have one of the best local unions in the United Steelworkers (USW) and we will not stop searching for a solution…Leo, Stan and the rest of the team in Pittsburgh are sick about this and continually raise it with Goodyear to try other tire lines or tire sizes and to not try and grow their business by exiting this end of the market. Goodyear management, disgusts me in that they write themselves fat bonuses and give themselves raises during a year that they lose millions of dollars and close US plants…We spend so much of our time on trade issues for the union as well as bargaining our major contracts and it’s like this across our nation in all our sectors and our politicians just cozy up to big multi-national corporations who in turn fund their campaigns and drive this destructive trade agenda. We are in the process of looking into the tires coming from the countries they shifted to such as Malaysia and Indonesia and Thailand and all of South America. We sent a team into Lawton about a year ago and again couldn’t get any real interest off the ground and the productivity that come out of that plant convinces me that those people are just scared to death to try anything…We have some contacts there that we regularly stay in touch with…we’ll stay at it Buddy and you do the same and take care of yourself and stay in touch and I’ll stay close to Ricky as we work on this together…

From Memphis to Madison - The Struggle Continues

From Memphis Tennessee to Madison Wisconsin, there is no end to attacks on the average/middle class American. At times there are pause`s in the fight, then we begin again, or lose the very things we gained !

Richard J. Kramer ~ Makes Mega Bucks, WHY ?

Close Dome$tic Goodyear Plant$ and Make Mega Buck$ !

How to do that? Close down American Unionized Plants and build Tires in Chili and China !

Folks , I don`t make this stuff up. Richard J. Kramer does. He is Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and President GOODYEAR TIRE & RUBBER CO (GT) Who is going to say NO ? !

Richard J. Kramer ~ Chairman of the Board Chief Executive Officer and President GOODYEAR TIRE & RUBBER CO (GT)
Headquarters: AKRON, OH

2011 PayWatch: Average CEO Salary = $11.4 Million
CEO pay skyrocketed by 23 percent, for an average salary of $11.4 million in 2010 .

Rubber and Miscellaneous Plastic Products :

In 2010, Richard J. Kramer received $10,134,391 in total compensation. By comparison, the Median worker made $33,190 in 2010.

Richard J. Kramer made 305 times the median worker's pay. If you don`t know who that Median Worker is ? Hey, That`s You and I ! Just before Union City Closes, we could have a gate collection for Mr. Kramer to make up for his losses, he falls a tad under the average pay for CEO`S of $11,000,000. Folks That is eleven million dollars annually. The CEO`S must go off-shore to build their products to make the much blood money.
Now, lets see ? I know, we`ll blame the Unions ! Better Wake Up America ! I thought CEO`S were to Maximize stock holders dividends ? NOT SO ! They maximize their PAY ! Thanks to Mike Stanley for this one !

What the Heck's Wrong ?

WAKE UP AMERICA !

Tuesday's Daily Bulletin Paper, ran two articles on the front page side by side :

Someone please tell me what the HECK's wrong with all the people that run this country ? !

We're "broke" & can't help our own Seniors, Veterans, Orphans, Homeless etc. ?

In the last months we have provided aid to Haiti, Chile, and Turkey. And now Pakistan... home of bin Laden. Literally, BILLIONS of DOLLARS!!!

Our retired seniors living on a 'fixed income' receive no aid nor do they get any breaks while our government and religious organizations pour Hundreds of Billions of $'s and Tons of Food to Foreign Countries!

They/our Govt. call Social Security and Medicare an entitlement even though most of us have been paying for it all our working lives and now when it’s time for us to collect, the government is running out of money. Why did the government borrow from it in the first place?

We have hundreds of adoptable children who are shoved aside to make room for the adoption of foreign orphans.

AMERICA:
a country where we have homeless without shelter, children going to bed hungry, elderly going without 'needed' meds, and mentally ill without treatment, etc.,

YET.
They have a 'Benefit' for the people of Haiti on 12 TV stations, ships and planes lining up with food, water, tents clothes, bedding, doctors and medical supplies.

Imagine if the *GOVERNMENT* gave 'US' the same support they give to other countries.
Sad isn't it ? Charity = Love ! It also begins at HOME !

Editorial : This article is bound to cause some thinking ! ENTITLEMENTS ?

I THINK NOT ! Thanks to my friend, Buddy M. for this one. I have deleted part of this, to do with Illegal aliens. I do not like to print without varifying it. I tried to varify. Could not. Therefore, I did not print !

Religion and Politics ? Never Mix~ Live It !

Now We Know Why Our Government and Religion Should be Kept Separate !

by : Underdog = Don Jones
4/24/11

I have watched this morning on T.V. a round table discussion of religion and politics/government. Those present were a Muslim, A black Christian, Rev. Al Sharpton, a Catholic Female, Cokie Roberts, a Jew, Cokie`s Husband, and Richard Land from the Southern Baptist Convention. First, I`d say to the Southern Baptist Convention, keep Richard Land of off these kind of discussions. He comes off mean spirited and very, I am and you are not ! In this writers opinion, he does more harm than good. Oops, did I forget to mention, I am a Baptist/Christian ? Al Sharpton got it right, "We must Love one another". The Muslim gentleman, sorry, I do not recall his name. Ask us not to judge all Muslim's by the actions of a few. Does that sound familiar ? Jesus asked us to help the poor, starving, and the afflicted. He never ministered to the ultra rich. Are there those among us who really do not need help, but seek it out ? Certainly. I ask you to not judge all who need help, by the actions of a few. I believe that those politicians who wear their religion on their arms in an attempt to get your/Christian vote, are wolves in sheep's clothing. Now, we Christians need to understand that there are other religions besides Christianity. The best testimony, I can think of, is live it ! Love your friend who is not of your persuasion. If you live it, your testimony speaks volumes. In other words, I`d rather see it, than hear it. My best advice to pastors of Christian Church's, keep it out of the pulpit. Ask your congregation to live it. Welcome all into our faith. That includes Muslims ! I believe that Christ is the answer. Having professed that, I cannot shove him down any ones throat. Preach the Gospel`s ! As a lay person saved by Christ, it is most difficult not to look down on other religions. However, I know I must share him in a way to show our love and caring as Christians, if I do that, I have lived it. I am saved by the blood of Christ. I want and pray that all will come to his Kingdom by the way of Christ. I also know, that this is not to be. Some will be lost. I must not let this affect my living it and trying to persuade through my life, Jesus Christ ! Today we celebrate his resurrection from the grave. Christ lived, was crucified, buried and rose again. He did these things for us. Can we do less than live it for him ? I think not. Happy Easter. What a great word "LOVE" ! Live it.

Work 'Til We Die > Utube film

Enough said !

Work Til You Die ! The Facts

Work til You Die !

Retirees across the country will show the effects of what diminishing retirement security means to “real people” by dressing up in work clothes and demonstrating what it means to “Work ’Til We Die.” The U.S. House just approved last week a draconian 2012 budget that ends Medicare as we know it, provides a roadmap for eliminating Social Security, and cuts $1.4 trillion from Medicaid over 10 years. Meanwhile, in the Senate, there is a major bi-partisan initiative to raise the retirement age or cut Social Security benefits in other ways. With Congress in recess until May 3, Alliance members are using this time to tell members of the House and Senate, the media, and supporters that Congress should keep its hands off Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.

Middle Class Pay Tax`s/Bills ~ Millionaire`s Pay Zip !

It’s Not a $pending Problem –

4/20/11
It’s a Revenue Problem

Corporate-backed politicians at every level of government are trying to convince us that we’ve got a spending problem as they look to cut and balance budgets on the backs of America’s middle and working class. But, they’re failing to talk about the real problem: the amount of revenue our government is – or rather, isn’t – taking in.

Here are a few facts to consider :

From the 1940s to the 1980s, the tax rate for the richest Americans – the millionaires of the time – was 70 percent or higher. Now it is nearly half that – 35 percent.

Two-thirds of companies doing business in the United States avoid paying any income tax to the federal government despite corporate sales totaling $2.5 trillion.

General Electric, for example, netted over $10 billion in profits in 2009, but paid the U.S. government $0 in income taxes.

Each year, the United States loses an estimated $100 billion in tax revenues due to offshore tax abuses.

In the late 1970s, capital gains (profits made from selling property or investments) were taxed at 35 percent or higher. Now they are taxed at just 15 percent. All these tax breaks, tax cuts and tax loopholes have a heavy cost on our economy. As millions struggle to get by, corporate profits are up and CEO pay jumped 27 percent in 2010. They can pay their fair share, just like workers already are !

Help Expose CEO Pay and Save Wall Street Reform

http://blog.aflcio.org/2011/04/19/2011-paywatch-average-ceo-salary-11-4-million/

Congressman Here > http://act.aflcio.org/c/18/p/dia/action/public/?action_KEY=1736
Last year, President Obama signed into law the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act that requires the disclosure of CEO-to-worker pay, among other critically important reforms. But now, Republicans in the House have unveiled proposals to repeal many of the law’s protections even before they have gone into effect. Please write your member of Congress now. Urge him or her not to weaken Wall Street reform in any way.

Subject:

Your Letter:

I am writing to oppose repeal of any part of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. We have just gone through the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression. America simply cannot afford to deregulate Wall Street again. I urge you to oppose H.R. 1062, repeal of Dodd-Frank Section 953(b), which requires companies to disclose their ratios of CEO-to-worker compensation. Section 953(b) will reduce CEO pay by shining a light on CEO-to-worker pay disparities. Investors also will learn whether their company provides good jobs for their employees and pays the CEO responsibly. I also oppose efforts to create new loopholes in the law for private equity fund managers, companies that use derivatives, credit rating firms and companies that issue up to $50 million in securities. The Dodd-Frank Act must be comprehensive to be effective. More than 14 million Americans still are unemployed because of the Wall Street financial crisis. I strongly urge you to protect American jobs from future Wall Street disasters by voting against any legislation to repeal any part of the Dodd-Frank Act.

Sincerely,

Don Jones = Underdog

Hey Retiree`s/Seniors ~ Hey, That`s Me ! Better Listen Up !

The Paul Ryan(R) Budget U.S. House of Representatives

April 2011

Republicans Will Do What They Say...Rob you and Give to the Rich !

Ends Medicare as we know it!

Privatizes Medicare and turns care over to insurance companies. Currently, Medicare pays for all medically necessary health care without limits. Under the Ryan budget, current workers under 55 must choose a private insurance plan when they go on Medicare. Traditional Medicare will end.

Drastically increases out-of-pocket payments. The Ryan budget would not be indexed for medical inflation. According to the Congressional Budget Office, by 2030 the Medicare vouchers would be about $9,750 a year while annual medical costs would be about $30,460, leaving seniors with an average $20,700 to pay out-of-pocket.

Eliminates many Medicare benefits, repeals health reform. The Ryan budget repeals the Affordable Care Act; thus, all the benefits for seniors in the law will be terminated, including provisions that require no co-payments for preventive services, free annual visits and closing the doughnut hole.

Promotes rationing by private insurance companies. With rising health care costs and limited funding, insurers will have every incentive and motive to deny care. Guts Medicaid by Slashing $1.4 Trillion from the Program

Endangers long term care services for seniors and the disabled. Medicaid pays about 62% of all long term care spending in the U.S. Seniors make up 57% of the individuals receiving nursing home coverage and home care under Medicaid. By cutting one-third of Medicaid’s funding, it will difficult for states to continue to adequately fund these benefits.

Jeopardizes eligibility under Medicaid. By block granting Medicaid, which means states will receive a limited amount of money, states will be hard pressed to provide needed benefits; thus, states will most likely change eligibility or increase cost sharing for individuals.

Jeopardizes low-income assistance for seniors. Currently, Medicaid pays the monthly Medicare Part B premiums for low-income Medicare beneficiaries. Under a block grant proposal there is no guarantee this coverage will continue.

The Ryan Republican Budget

Roadmap to Eliminate Social Security

Forces Rapid Cuts Social Security through fast-track procedure. The Ryan plan would expose Social Security to a fast-track process, posing devastating cuts to the program and its 53 million beneficiaries. The Budget Act of 1974 forbids Social Security from being cut through fast-tracking, an up-or-down vote process that leaves no room for debate, amendments or input from the American public. The Ryan budget attempts to go around this safeguard by creating a new fast-track “expedited process” that would trigger “statutory reforms” just for Social Security in any year that the program is not in 75-year balance. Social Security serves and protects millions of Americans so any changes to Social Security should be given thorough review and full debate.

Robs the Middle Class of Retirement Security by cutting benefits & raising the retirement age. The Ryan Budget endorses cutting future Social Security benefits for every worker earning more than $27,000 a year and increasing the retirement age, two ideas from the Bowles-Simpson plan. These cuts are aimed at middle class workers, who are already struggling to save for retirement. Consider that the average 30-year-old man today makes $3,000 less (inflation adjusted) than his father made in 1973. The Ryan budget and its cuts to Social Security would make retirement security even more difficult to reach for today’s middle class workers. Left unchecked, the Ryan budget immediately threatens the ability of the government to keeps its promise to Social Security beneficiaries. It is unconscionable for elected leaders to describe Social Security as being immediately threatened by “out-of-control-costs” when really the Social Security Trust Fund has $2.6 trillion surplus. Elected leaders must not scare our country into thinking that Social Security must be cut in the name of “fiscal responsibility” when Social Security does not contribute a dime to the deficit. Current retirees and future generations deserve better than for their promise to broken and for this basic level of economic security to be intentionally devastated in a game of dirty politics.

Editorial : Republicans will keep their word...That was proved last election. They wanted to end Unions...They have. Now it`s Social Security and Medicare, better listen up folks ! Paul Ryan (R) does`nt seem to mind, after all, he`ll draw his entire salary when he retires..and have the best medical care, we can buy him !

Big Mike Breaks the Deficit Down

Listen carefully ! it`s the income, not the out go ! This is for my good friend Alabama Linda !

JOBS ~ JOBS ~ JOBS...CREATE REVENUE !

It's Not a Spending Problem - It's a Revenue Problem

Corporate-backed politicians at every level of government are trying to convince us that we’ve got a spending problem as they look to cut and balance budgets on the backs of America’s middle and working class. But, they’re failing to talk about the real problem :

The amount of revenue our government is – or rather, isn’t – taking in.

Here are a few facts to consider: From the 1940s to the 1980s, the tax rate for the richest Americans – the millionaires of the time – was 70 percent or higher.

Editorial : I know, why don`t we poor and middle class form a off-shore Corporation and pay no TAX`S ? The middle class has always carried the load. How much longer can we carry these multi-millionaires ?
