Collierville, Tennessee: Carrier Plant
Don,
During the past week, I have been meeting with folks getting input on the direction of our country. On Monday, I visited the Carrier plant in Collierville, Tennessee to meet with employees and tour the plant. As you may know, Carrier is a world leader in the production of heating, air, and refrigeration products. Carrier has 80 manufacturing facilities around the world, including 28 in the United States.
Editorial : I hope Carrier is not contemplating moving to China ? I only wish you had taken some interest in Goodyear Union City Tennessee, now in China and Chili ! I realize they were union workers, they were also Tennesseans.
Legislative Update:
Last week, the House passed HR 2401, The Transparency in Regulatory Analysis of Impacts on the Nation (TRAIN) Act of 2011 to establish a committee and provide an economic analysis of rules issued by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This analysis will study the cumulative economic impact of rules concerning air, water, and climate change among others before implementation.

The House also passed the HR 2587, Protecting Jobs from Government Interference Act to restrict the National Labor Relations Board from telling employers where they can and cannot create jobs. I am proud to have voted for both of these bills to reign in unelected bureaucrats who have issued overreaching regulations that hurt business and cause high unemployment. It is time to free small business from burdensome regulations to get Americans back to work.
Editorial : More anti-union bills from Tea Party`er, Fincher. Those over reaching regulations, he is talking about protect American Workers from Employers and Politicians like Mr. Fincher ! We need National Health He does`nt like Obama Care,as he calls it ! He sure as shootin won`t like National Health Care, To free up Corporations from unfair overhead. Or, we just could keep exporting our jobs ! "Thank God for a Senate" ! Mr. Fincher, please do not be offended by my opinion, I think we want to get to the same place. Just different roads ? Ya Think ?
