Screwed by Goodyear Again ! Another Story from Goodyear...

I am writing to you because I feel you would understand where I am now. Goodyear screwed again. I chose the option to have part of my retirement to go to my wife after my death. Goodyear failed to start taking out the option. Now they are taking out the option amount and also the option again to pay it back to them. Now I am getting a small amount to live on. At first the final amount was $ 275.00 ...Now that is all I had left until I went to the union hall and had the tax lowered. Now I am getting $ 475.00. I did not expect this to happen...because I was not checking on things I suppose. I have had a lots of bad luck, I had open heart surgery and a stroke in 99 which caused me to be disabled. Now it took me most of two years to recover back to somewhat normal...Now here 2008 I had Prostrate cancer surgery, and also had the second open heart surgery...I have lost most of everything I saved for my retirement...And now I am down to almost nothing to live on thanks to Goodyear's stupid mistake...I don't have enough money at times to get my medication...not only that, I have to scrap to find enough money to get something to eat...I don't think those people(Goodyear) care what they do anymore. They would very much like people like me to just die...because they would not have to pay out anything on me... Please.... I don't want anyone to feel sorry for me I just would like for Goodyear pay attention to their business and keep people from getting in a sad way...I am sure, I am not the only one that has had this to happen ? Oh well Christmas will just be another day, But just remember what it represents. Your friend and former co-worker

Editorial : I get letters ! Jim Posey`s is a tragic story ! I`m not sure, I could have said it any better ? Jim seems to want to blame himself for this tragic action, It is not his fault. I`m wondering what, if any assistance his former local#878-L is ? It seems to this writer that Goodyear could have worked a little with Jim ? Let him pay the amount back, that was their mistake? In today's world of higher cost of living, The Posey`s will have a difficult time of it ! Merry Christmas Posey`s and Thank You for sharing your plight with us. This is just one story, because I know Jim and worked with him. He is one fine guy ! Goodyear oughta' be ashamed ! I have talked with the Union Hall and it seems there is nothing that can be done, Mr. Posey signed an agreement at his retirement and Goodyear is holding him to it ! "Goodyear Oughta' be Ashamed". What a non-caring attitude our corporate people have adopted !
